The theme of the lesson: The place where I live

The aims:

1. Activity English on the theme, to talk about the places in a town, city or a village, enrich topical vocabulary, to practice pronunciation and consolidate grammar structure There is/There are

2. To develop language skills and habits, logical thinking and memory,

To develop the intellect and cognitive capacities;

3. To teach students to associate with each other, to stimulate their interest to the subject.

Type of the lesson: mixed

Methods: individual, work in pairs/group, new teaching technologies

Interaction: Kazakh, Russian

Visual aids: Pictures, slides, worksheets, IATS ,CD( 2/9,13),

posters, cards

The procedure of the lesson;

I. Organization moment.

a. Greeting

b. Divide class into 3 groups

II .Phonetic drill

1)Listen and choose .CD(2-10)

2)Picture search.

Match the places to the pictures. CD(2/9)

Teacher: Look at the pictures! Match the places to the pictures.

Picture 3- railway station Picture 6 – church

III. Grammar corner.

Prepositions: on, in. next to, under, near (cards)

Make sentences using the words:

pencil case sport centre castle railway station cinema bag

For example :There is a pencil case under the chair. There are new houses near the sport centre. There isn’t a castle in the town. There are small shops near the railway station. There is a beautiful park next to the cinema. There are some books in the bag.
