2.Warm –up. Find out more than ten words in the word-box concerning the theme: “Food”
3.Checking up the home task. For this conversation guests from different countries came to us. Let’s listen to them.
P1: — We live in Kazakhstan. Our capital is Astana. The population of our country is about 17 million people. We speak Kazakh but we know Russia and English. Many animals live here: wolves, hares, foxes. Our national food is beshbarmak.
T: Thank you . I invite guests from America.
P2:- I came from America. The population of the USA is 250 million people. It has 50 states .The capital is Washington D.C. We speak English. Our national food is barbecued chicken.
T: How interesting! Guests from Great Britain you are welcome!
P3: — We are from England, Great Britain. The capital is London. 7 million people live there. We speak English.
T: I see people from India.
P4:- We live in India 850 million people. Our capital is New Delhi. There are 16 languages. We speak English and Hindi. There are different types of animals tigers, elephants. Our national food is sag paneer.
T: I think it is delicious. Thank you.
3. Presentation. Watching a film
T: Now I want you to show a film about national food, which our friends from Great Britain made. (Pupils watch and read the text to the film).

T: — We have learned some national foods. I think all of them are good, healthy. Do you know that good food has 7 important things? What are they?
Pupils: Yes carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, water, fibre, protein.
T: — Please. Choose and show us products that have these things.
P1: Carbohydrates – bread, sugar, potatoes, pasta, rice. They gave us energy.
P2: Fats— meat, butter, cheese, oil, nuts. They make you strong and give you energy.
P3: Protein — meat, fish, milk it helps you to grow and gives energy.
P4: Minerals— milk, vegetables, eggs, meat, cereals. They make your bones and teeth strong.
P5: Fibre — nuts, beans and cereals. It cleans the inside of your body.
T: — Very nice. You know what makes our food healthy. Now let’s see, can you prepare healthy lunch for yourself. From these products make your healthy lunch table.
