Students check the meaning of the Key Words in their Mini-dictionaries.<br \/>\nStudents listen and repeat the Key Words on the recording.<br \/>\nActivity 2 Exercise 2 Read out the example to the class. Each student writes down his\/her favourite type of sandwich and drink. Provide any new vocabulary that students need. Students report back to the class and find out the favourite type of sandwich and the favourite drink students in their class.<br \/>\nActivity 3 Exercise 3 KEY WORDS: SHOPPING: CD, envelope, football shirt, magazine, newspaper, postcard, poster, stamp, T-shirt<br \/>\nStudents check the meaning of the Key Words in their Mini-dictionaries.<br \/>\nStudents then listen and repeat the Key Words on the recording. Have students look at two of the photos again (market and newsagent&#8217;s) and point to pictures of the Key Words in the photos. Check that students understand the vocabulary. Students use their Mini-dictionaries if necessary. Have two students read out the example sentences. Students work individually, writing sentences about the list. Then they read out their sentences to their partner and compare answers before checking answers as a class.<br \/>\nActivity 7 Exercise 8 Have students look at the table in Exercise 8. Check that students understand the vocabulary by having them translate the words into their LI. Two students then read out the example dialogue to the class. Students then work in pairs, acting out dialogues like those in Exercise 4, using the things in the table.<br \/>\nHave some of the pairs act out one of their dialogues for the class to hear.<br \/>\nRound off activities:  A game (Spelling)<br \/>\nGive the children cards with two words for food on it.<br \/>\nDivide the class into teams.<br \/>\n&#8212; A child from one team asks the other team to spell a word on his or her card, e.g. Spell cheese.<br \/>\n&#8212; The other team tries to spell the word with a child saying c, the next child h, and so on.<br \/>\n&#8212; Score one point for each correct word.<br \/>\nTest.
