In order to know our new lesson’s theme you will guess it using these pictures on the board. Look at the screen. Let’s try to say what you see and you can decode the theme?
As you can see the theme of our lesson is “Professions”.

Today the theme of our lesson is “Professions”. Today we will learn new words and introduction of new material on the theme “Professions”, to work with texts.
Let’s start our new theme “Professions”. Children, open your copybook, write down the date today and new theme.
The next tasks: look at the video read, listen and repeat the new words. (Video)
Then open your dictionary and write down new words.

At first we read texts about today’s theme. I’ll give you different texts and you must read then translate and another pupils should guess what about the text?

There are a lot of different books and magazines at her work place. Mrs. Smith works both with people and books. She helps people to find necessary books and magazines, tells them about writers and their novels. She thinks her job is very important. What is Mrs. Smith ? She is a librarian.

4) I take letters, parcels and cards to people’s houses. I have a big bag. (a postman)
5) I fix cars and bikes at a garage. (a mechanic)
6) I sell fruit and vegetables. (a greengrocer)
7) I fly in a spaceship to different planets. (an astronaut)
8) I serve people at a café. I serve food and drinks. (a waiter)
9) I can bake bread. (a baker)
You can see scrambled words on the blackboard. Say the words.

Play a game “Who is this?”
I’ll give you envelopes. In the Envelope is written the profession of each child. You have facial expressions and gestures to show what this profession and the others have to guess.
